Task1 - Presentations

Task 1

Our students will introduce themselves and their schools and they will talk about how often they listen to the news on TV or read the newspaper.

Title: INTRODUCING OURSELVES and OUR SCHOOLS
Timing: from November to mid December

Deadline: 20th December 2016 (just before the Christmas break)
          hard startup😓 - task 1 deadline is been postponed to  late January



Objectives:

• Get to know each other
• Introduce ourselves, our school and our home town
• Talk about press and other mass media

RECOMMENDED ONLINE APPS

• Google Drive (https://www.google.com/drive/)
  Students can create a word document or a slide presentation where all of them collaborate with a brief text and/or a picture.
• Padlet (https://padlet.com/)
  Students can use this click-and-type app to include all their contributions onto a digital board.
• Prezi (http://www.prezi.com/)
  Students could use Prezi to create collaboratively a dynamic presentation with all students’ introductions.
• Tackk (https://tackk.com/)
  This is a click-and-type application which enables users to create and share an online “poster” by adding headlines, body text and media from a variety of different sources. It’s similar to a blog but with an only possible post.

Working methodology for teachers: 

1. Talk to your fellow teachers in the group about what to do.
2. Organize your students in groups and set them to work out a presentation. Select one of all the possible apps online either from the recommended list or elsewhere.
3. Once your students have their contributions ready, publish them in our blog so students from the other countries can comment on or ask questions about them
